Snakes symbolize the flow of life in the presence of death, represented by the skull.

Taoism teaches us that every reality always contains its opposite principle: there are Yin elements and Yang elements, and each exists because the other sustains it.

In the difficulties of life, we can seek out what is hidden from us and lies in the shadows.

What lies in the shadows is what we cannot understand, what we think is different from us.

That is exactly how our soul evolves: by assimilating what seems different from us and making it similar to us.
